Hello and welcome to week two! We have seen quite a bit of wishlist posts or posts without playtest experience to back up their suggestions. We will be cracking down with infractions and bans should this persist. This is your one warning!

Kommandant Sorscha Kratikoff: We've had a lot of feedback about Sorscha 3 and we need more! Changing the costs of Stoke the Fires and Winter's Wrath should help her feel a little more active on the field. We have also had a large amount of feedback about Sorscha 3's stats. While Sorscha remains in a suit of Man-O-War armor her stats are partially defined by it. A lower SPD and DEF stat are part of that. So while we hear you, we will not be making changes to those stats at this time. There have been clerical updates to her feat language as well.

Replace the last sentence of Dead of Winter with the following:

A model suffers 1 point of cold damage XICONX for each Dead of Winter AOE it enters or ends its activation within.



Reduce the COST of Stoke the Fires to 1.

Reduce the COST of Winter's Wrath to 3.


Demolition Corps & Sergeant Dragos Dragadovich: The Demo Corp have received mixed reviews. These are some pretty radical changes that we are not 100% set on. We want to see how these rules interact with the current unit and how players feel about them. Please note that we felt there was too much potenital damage with both Team Work and Shatter at the same time. We have changed Team Work to Bond of Brotherhood, granting a durability type ability instead of a damage increasing ability.

Gain Shatter.

Replace Team Work with Bond of Brotherhood.

Bond of Brotherhood - This model can use Bond of Brotherhood once per game at any time during its unit’s activation. For one round, models in this unit gain Sanguine Bond. (When a model with Sanguine Bond would suffer damage from an enemy attack while in formation, you can choose one or more models in its unit to suffer any amount of that damage instead, divided as you choose. If you do, the model with Sanguine Bond l does not suffer that damage. A model cannot suffer more damage as a result of Sanguine Bond than it has unmarked damage boxes.)



Kommandant Atanas Arconovich & Standard: Veteran Leader was leading to some truely accurate Man-O-War. This is all well and good, but we would like to see if a change to Tactician increase the interaction of the army and the available options to it.


Replace Veteran Leader with Tactician [Man-O-War].


Suppression Tanker: Dual Attack has been removed to allow for further counter play. Volley Fire has been removed to reduce the efficiency of the Suppression Tanker.

Cut Dual Attack and Volley Fire.


Strike Tanker: Dual Attack has been removed to allow for further counter play.

Cut Dual Attack.


Man-O-War Siege Chariot: A slight point reduction should help this battle engine fill its role.


Cost 15.


Man-O-War Assault Chariot: Assuming its position as an anti-infantry battle engine, Volley Fire seemed a natural fit. Please make sure that this battle engine is not too strong at bypassing armies and killing warcasters/warlocks.


Gain Volley Fire.


Kommander Andrei Malakov: We are looking into further options for Malakov 2. Please continue with your testing with the following changes.


DEF 16.
Damage boxes 16.
Gain the Open Fire spell.


Spriggan: This is a pretty ambitious change. At 17 points the Spriggan is a very versatile heavy once it picks up Dual Attack. Please test and make sure this model is not over performing.

Gain Dual Attack.


Man-O-War Kovnik: The Kovnik was not contributing enough to be priced at 5 points. This reduction should help put it in line with other solos of its kind.

Cost 4.


IMO bardzo dobre zmiany. Właściwie podobają mi się wszystkie.

Dobre zmiany co do manowarów. Democorpsy szczególnie - w końcu wpadli że to odporność jest problemem. Solosów na pewno trzeba było osłabić.

Spriggan natomiast słabo nadal. "Over performing"... ta jasne... Niech mu koszt najpierw obniżą do 15 albo 16 chociaż. Mam nadzieje że w przyszłym tygodniu przemysla pozostałe jacki.

Victor: Further reducing Victor's points should help bring it in line with Conquest and will hopefully encourage players to utilize this model.

Man-O-War Bombardiers & Man-O-War Bombardier Officer: Bombardiers really felt the loss of Veteran Leader. To keep them a viable and attractive option we have increased their RAT to 6 (or 7 for the Officer).

Man-O-War Strike Tanker: We hope a small reduction in points for the Strike Tanker will increase its viability as a non-free option in the theme force.

Cost 5.


Man-O-War Siege Chariot: We saw that the Siege Chariot was being removed too consistently after firing its main weapon. This increased range should help it avoid some threats as it continues to bombard it's opponents.

Heavy Gun RNG 10.


Khador Theme Force: Armored Korps: This change adds the option for Mechanik model/units to count towards 'free points' as well as allowing the Greylord Forge Seer to be taken for free. We hope this can smooth out a few list options.

An army made using this theme force can include only the following Khador models:
• Khador warcasters
• Non-character warjacks
• Man-O-War models/units
• Battle Mechanik units
• War Dog solos

Special Rules:

• This army can also include one Mercenary solo and one Mercenary unit that will work for Khador. These models can be included even if they have the Partisan [Khador] special rule. Mercenary units in this army can include attachments.
• For every full 20 points of Man-O-War or Mechanik models/units in this army, you can add one Khador command attachment, Tanker solo, or medium-based Man-O-War solo to the army free of cost. Free models do not count toward the total point value of Man-O-War models/units in the army when calculating this bonus.
• When a model in this army is affected by the Repair special rule, remove one additional damage point.
• Man-O-War battle engines and Tanker solos in this army gain Advance Move. (Before the start of the game but after both players have deployed, a model with Advance Move can make a full advance.)

Kommander Andrei Malakov: We do not beleive that Poison Pill's additional movements should affect battle engines.


First clause of Poison Pill does not affect battle engines.



Sergeant Dragos Dragadovich: Bond of Brotherhood has had its Sanguine Bond reference removed. It is now a unique rule. Please note, however, that in the Rules Section a question was previously answered incorrectly (https://cid.privateerpress.com/forum...4177#post64177) and has since been correct. It is very relevant to this rule, so please follow up and read the information provided in the linked thread. This rule will function the same way.


Change the text of Bond of Brotherhood to the following:

Bond of Brotherhood - This model can use Bond of Brotherhood once per game at any time during its unit’s activation. For one round, when a model in this unit is damaged by an enemy attack while in formation, you can choose one or more models in its unit to suffer any amount of that damage instead, divided as you choose. Suppression Tanker: We would like to test a return to the original design of the Suppression Tanker with some changes. We have returned Volley Fire but significantly reduced the effectiveness of its spray attack by replacing it with Full Blast. We will continue to look at these rules as we go forward.

Gains Volley Fire.
Replace Concentrated Fire with Full Blast.



Man-O-War Siege Chariot: Increasing the base RAT of this model should help its cannon feel more impactful. Changing the Smoke Launchers to have a range of 5" should allow them to be much more consistently used and effective during games.


RAT 6.
Change the text of Smoke Launchers to:

Smoke Launchers - This model can use Smoke Launchers once per activation at any time. Place one 3˝ AOE cloud effect completely within each of this model’s field of fire and completely within 5˝ of this model. The AOEs remains in play for one round.


Man-O-War Assault Chariot: While Volley Fire was a very powerful rule on this model we would like to test the idea of AOE 4 instead of Volley Fire. We will continue to look at these rules as we go forward.


RAT 6.
Barrage Gun AOE 4. Cut Volley Fire.


Khador Theme Force: Armored Korps: Replacing the Advance Move section of the theme force with a more flexible option should help a little with some of the scenario pressure the list can feel. It also can now be used to solve some perceived issues with things like the Man-O-War Kovnik being "left behind" by the army should the player feel so inclined.

Replace the fourth benefit with the following:

For every unit in the army, one Man-O-War model/unit in this army can gain Advance Move. (Before the start of the game but after both players have deployed, a model with Advance Move can make a full advance.)

Beast 09: This change is mostly thematic but also gives the Forge Seer an additional target for Winter's Wind in many lists.


Gain Immunity: Cold.


Man-O-War Demolition Corps: Feedback shows we're coming in to some solid uses of Demolition Corps. This point value will hopefully push them that last little bit.

Cost 8/14.


Victor: There has been a very large amount of feedback on Victor. We are trying something fairly aggressive here and would like to see how it affects games.

Cut Inaccurate.


Cut Minimum Range.

Auto Cannons RNG 12.


Man-O-War Suppression Tanker: To solidify the Suppression Tanker as an infantry clearing unit we would like to try it out at POW 10 on it's Volley Guns. This should help bring it in line with other similar models. At the same time, does this model still perform it's role? Is it still a compelling choice?


Vollley Guns POW 10.


Man-O-War Strike Tanker: A little more flexibility and utility being added back to the Strike Tanker should make it a more compelling choice.


Gain Dual Attack.


Khador Theme Force: Armored Korps: We do not want Mercenary units to trigger this benefit.

Replace the second benefit with the following:

For every Khador unit in the army, one Man-O-War model/unit in this army can gain Advance Move. (Before the start of the game but after both players have deployed, a model with Advance Move can make a full advance.)
